Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller

The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:
Rivamo AG
Neue Winterthurerstrasse 99
8304 Wallisellen
Switzerland
Email: hello@rivamo.com

2. Scope and Principles

We care about your privacy. This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website, for what purpose, and what rights you have. We follow the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate the website, respond to your enquiries, or meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.

3. Data We Process

a. Server log files

When you access this website, your browser transmits technical information that our hosting provider stores in log files: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, volume of data transferred, referrer URL, and browser and operating system details. This data serves the secure and stable operation of the website and is not combined with other data sources. The basis for this is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website.

b. Contact form

When you reach out to us via the contact form, we process:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • The area of interest you select

  • Your message

These details are sent to us by email and additionally stored in this website’s database. They are used solely to process and answer your enquiry. We do not share them and do not use them for advertising. To protect against automated spam we use a honeypot method, which requires no cookies and does not analyse your behaviour.

c. Job applications

If you send us an application, for example to karriere@rivamo.com, we process the documents you submit solely to assess your application and share them only with the people involved internally. Once the process is complete we delete the documents unless you have expressly agreed to longer retention.

d. Cookies

This website sets technically necessary cookies, among other things to store your language choice and to cache pages. In addition, Google services may place cookies on your device, in particular Google Analytics and Google Maps. You can block or delete cookies at any time via your browser settings; the website generally remains usable.

e. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It records how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, time spent, approximate location based on the truncated IP address, and device and browser details. The evaluation is statistical and helps us improve what we offer.

Our reports additionally have age, gender, and interest data enabled. Google estimates this information from its own data; advertising cookies and cross-device identifiers from Google may be used for this purpose.

You can prevent this collection by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing the opt-out add-on provided by Google: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more information on how Google processes data, see policies.google.com/privacy.

f. Google Fonts

To display fonts consistently, this website loads typefaces from Google servers. Your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process.

g. Google Maps

On the contact page we embed a Google Maps map to show our location. When the map loads, your IP address is transmitted to Google, and Google may set cookies.

4. Service Providers and Disclosure

To operate the website we work with carefully selected service providers that process personal data on our behalf:

  • Hosting and server operation: Hostpoint AG, Switzerland

  • Web analytics, fonts, and maps: Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC

Beyond this, we disclose personal data only if you have consented or we are legally required to do so.

5. Processing Outside Switzerland

Our hosting provider’s servers are located in Switzerland. When Google services are used, data may be transferred to countries outside Switzerland and the EEA, in particular to the United States. Google bases such transfers on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses as well as the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Retention

  • Server log files: usually a few weeks

  • Contact enquiries: up to 12 months after the enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply

  • Application documents: until the application process is complete, then deleted unless you expressly agree to longer retention

  • Google Analytics data: in line with the retention period configured in Google Analytics, after which it is kept only in aggregated form

7. Data Security

This website is delivered encrypted over HTTPS. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. Complete protection during transmission over the internet is, however, not possible.

8. Your Rights

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right in particular to:

  • Request information about the personal data we process

  • Request its correction or deletion

  • Request that processing be restricted

  • Object to processing

  • Withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future

  • Request your data in a common electronic format

To exercise these rights, an email to hello@rivamo.com is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), and in the EU with the data protection authority responsible for you.

9. No Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

10. Changes

We may adapt this privacy policy from time to time to reflect legal or technical developments. The version published on this page at the time is the one that applies.
